This was followed by an Inter House Web page designing for class IX and X. The culminating activity was the Inter House Game/Application making competition which was held for the classes XI and XII.

Social Science Week
In keeping with the patriotic fervour of August, Social Science Week was celebrated from 20th to 24th August 2018.
The week started off with the Inter House Quiz Competition for Classes IX-XII on the topic "The Indian Freedom Movement". The participants and the audience had a great time coming up with the correct answers where each team tried to beat the others in the buzzer round and the rapid-fire round. Yamuna House stood first while Sutlej put up a tough fight to secure the second position.
In the Inter House Patriotic Song Competition for Classes VI - VIII the environment was charged with a feeling of patriotism and Soumika Agarwal of Sutlej House bagged the 1st position with Malavika Vashishth of Yamuna House at the 2nd position.
In the Inter Class Elocution Competition on "Pollution" Any Solution? and "Go Green" "Go Clean", Aditri Narula and Soumika Agarwal of Class 8A bagged the 1st and 2nd positions respectively while Yash Tyagi of Class VI A secured the 3rd position.
The Science week was celebrated from 10th - 14th July 2018. The aim of the activities was to enthuse and involve the students in science activities and to develop a global scientific perspective to stimulate their understanding of how science impacts their lives.
The week commenced with an Inter House Role Play for students of classes VI -VIII and a Science Paper Presentation for classes IX-XII. A Science quiz for classes IX-XII along with other Inter House activities for class VI - VIII were held. T-shirt slogan painting for class VI on Save Environment, Pandora Box for class VII which involved making working circuits and exhibits from the materials provided, Fun with science for classes VIII and IX involving magic tricks and models and working models for class X-XII brought out the creative and innovative talents of students. The culmination of the week was a Science Exhibition where students displayed their projects and magic tricks under the theme "Science in Daily Life".

To maintain the zeal of Mathematics, DPSGI organized a Maths week for the students of classes VI to XII. Various Mathematical activities were conducted during this week. The main attraction was Inter-House Maths Relay Race. An Inter House Maths quiz was also conducted for classes VI - VII and IX - XII. A Mini Olympiad based on HOTS and aptitude questions was also organized. The students eagerly tried to submit their paper as early as possible to gain extra marks for early submission. To add an interesting twist to the week a colouring activity based on problem solving skills was also held.
Delhi Public School Ghaziabad International believes in inspiring students to lead and provides an enriching experience to open up a world of opportunities. Aiming at educating everyone about civics, effective communication, globalization and multilateral diplomacy, ten students from classes VIII - X participated in an academic simulation of the United Nations - QMUN-18 - organized by Selaqui International School on 28th and 29th April 2018. The young minds undoubtedly received a great platform to research and engage in a discourse that impacts the world they live in. The two-day event was attended by 101 delegates from various schools in and around Dehradun. The delegates were seen employing a variety of communication and critical thinking skills which included public speaking, group communication, research, policy analysis, active listening, negotiating, conflict resolutions, note taking, and technical writing in order to represent the policies of their countries.
Shreyash Dube of class X was honoured with the award of "Outstanding Delegate" for his diplomatic skills.
"Knowledge of language is the doorway to wisdom" DPSG International celebrated the English Language by organising an English week from 16th to 20th April, 2018. It was a week of fun and excitement, with the children being fruitfully engaged in various tasks, during the zero period, so as not to disturb the regular teaching lessons. Primary wing organized Poem Recitation, DEAR-Drop Everything and Read, Story Writing, and extempore competition while Senior wing organized Poem Recitation, Jingle Competition, Article Writing, Elocution, Role Play and Debate.
The first day, witnessed Poem Recitation competition for Class VII where students recited meaningful poems with clarity and expression. Saba Idress of Class VI A won the first place, Aditi Singhal of VI A and Malavika Vashisth of VI B won the second place and Nishty Agarwal of VI B won the third place. On the second day students of Classes VII-VIII enjoyed an Inter Class Jingle Competition on the theme Naure Around Us where the students very creatively composed jingles and presented with right props. Soumika, Aditri, Akriti and Mahima of VIII A bagged the first position Arpit, Shaurya, Krrish and Vardaan of VII B and Vishakha, hardik, Diya and Yash of VII A bagged the second position and Divya, Pari, Vanya, Anshika and Divyanshi of VIII B and Akshita, Ambrin, Varnika and Udiksha of VIII A won the third place. In Inter House Elocution Competition Aditri Narula of Satluj House bagged first position, Pradanya Singh of Satluj House and Saavni Goyal of Cauvery House won the second prize Malavika Vashishth and Raghav Juneja of Yamuna House won the third position. In Inter Class Role Play Competition students of classes IX-XII impersonated literary characters and won the hearts of the judges and audience through dialogue delivery and acting. Aryan Tyagi of Class IX won the first place, Priyansh Gaur of X A and Shreyash Dube of X B were declared second while Varan Agarwal of X B secured third position. Harris Choudhary of IX C and Nancy Adhana of X B won the consolation prize. The week culminated with the Inter House Debate Competition for Classes IX-XII. The enthusiastic participants engaged in a War of Words on the topic "Is Promoting Reservation Only a Means to Achieve Political Power?" Devak Singh and Ananya Kalra of Yamuna House won the first and second positions respectively while Shreyas Dube of Satluj House won the third place.The week had been a truly inspiring, informative and entertaining one, that ensured that the participants emerged, wiser and more knowledgeable about English, a true celebration of the most widely spoken language in the world.
INTRA SCHOOL MUN 2017-18
Intra school MUN was organised in school on 26–27 February where student of classes VII-XI participated as representatives of 22 countries and discussed, debated and analysed threats to democracy in the contemporary world. The students as delegates of different countries presented their views and reflected on the measures and steps that can be taken to address the challenges to democracy. The event was an eagerly participated activity in which delegates used all their diplomacy and ingenious methods of reasoning and argument to defend threats to democracy in the contemporary world. Under proper guidance of the Executive Boards, the committee made great headway into their respective topics. The day ended on a high note for all and the overall experience was immensely enriching, in terms of gaining knowledge. The competition also gave the participants a feel of what it takes and feels to be a representative of a nation.
Any impatient student of mathematics or science or engineering who is irked by having algebraic symbolism thrust upon him should try to get along without it for a week.

Mathematics week was celebrated with great enthusiasm as students participated in various activities and displayed their logical and analytical skills.
Students of class 6 created a scene using geometrical figures wherein they made a park scene, a snowman, life under the water etc. They demonstrated their creative skills using geometrical shapes. Class 7 students were divided in groups and participated in a Mental Maths Quiz. It was fun to see them critically thinking, logically reasoning and mentally computing problems. Students of class 8 brought waste 3-D shapes and created different objects/ scenes using these shapes. They used matchboxes, water bottles, balloons, medicine boxes etc. to create mickey mouse, Christmas tree, Robo girl etc. An Inter House Quiz for classes VI to VIII was also organized. The students competed against each other as they put their reasoning and problem-solving skills to test in the 4 rounds of MCQs, Visuals, Puzzles and Rapid fire. The audience was equally excited to answer questions. Yamuna House bagged the first position, Satluj House secured the second position and Cauvery house won third position. A 'Pick up a problem' activity was conducted for students wherein they were divided in groups and given freedom to choose 1, 2 or 5 marks questions. They were given 15 minutes to finish as many questions as they could. It was a race against time for them. On the 'Maths Magic' day students come prepared with many different tricks and magic with numbers and surprized everyone with their talent.
The students of classes IX and XI participated in the 2 day MUN held at DPSG Meerut Road. During the 2 day event, they participated in various discussions and debates on world issues. It was a truly enriching experience for the children. Ayush Dube and Shreyash Dube were judged as special mentions.
Vigilance Awareness Week
Corruption, a social evil has become widespread in our society. It needs to be eradicated to ensure prosperity of the nation and give quality life to the citizens. Measure towards preventive vigilance at various levels of functioning enhance efficiency, transparency, accountability and help in reducing corruption. To inculcate the values of honesty, integrity and a respect for laws, DPSG International conducted various competitions like slogan writing; poster making, elocution, debate, essay writing etc. for the students as a part of the Vigilance Awareness Week celebrations on the theme 'My Vision-Corruption Free India'. The students also took up the Integrity Pledge and pledged to continuously strive to bring about the integrity and transparency in the functioning of the society. The purpose of observing Vigilance Awareness Week was to make students aware about the corrupt practices and also educate them on how to stop and prevent the same. The students were encouraged to collectively participate in the prevention and fight against corruption and to raise public awareness regarding the existence, causes and gravity of this practice and the threat it poses to the society.
German week was celebrated as a showcase for the talents German students. An Inter Class Poster Making on the theme Indo-German Freundschaft was organized where Vasu Jhori & Sarthak Singh of Class VIII bagged 1st position. The 2nd Position was bagged by Bhuvi Chawla & Suhana of Class VIII and 3rd position was bagged by Vedant Gupta of Class VII. In the Inter House German Spell Bee Competition, 1st position was tied between Yamuna & Satluj House and Ganga House was on 2nd position with Cauvery House securing the 3rd position. The students were also shown a German movie to enhance their understanding of the language.
Social Science Week
22nd to 25th of August marked the Social Science week in School's Calendar. During this week, the children put into practical use the knowledge, information gleaned from books and class room lessons in history, geography, economics and political science. All the week through children were engaged various inter house and inter class activities. Children from classes IV to XII took up various activities like: Freedom Fighters Pageant, Logo designing for the School Enterprise Challenge and beautifully presented it. There was an Inter House Quiz on Know Your Rights and an Inter class debate on Should there be reservations? The social science week was an informative and educative week which helped the students in holistic development.
The school organized a colourful bonanza of activities like Article Writing, Portrait Making, (Mathematical Inventor), Portrait Making, (Scientific Inventors), Quiz, Paper Presentation, (Mathematical Inventions), Paper Presentation, (Scientific Inventions) as a part of the ISA portfolio. Through these activities the students learnt various values like inter-personal skills, team spirit, cross cultural acceptance and global citizenship. The ISA journey brought about a great value addition in the lives of students, preparing each one of them to keep abreast with the rapidly changing world.
Survey on Weak Eyesight
The DPSGI organised a Survey of class 9 B students in the River Heights, Raj Nagar extension on 14th July, 2017 under community connect program. Students went to various houses to conduct the survey and collected the data on Weak eyesight and reasons for the same. They also guided the parents and member of the families about ways to get rid or reduce such issues with regular exercise, yoga, less use of technology (mobiles / TV) etc.
World population & French Day Assembly
A special assembly was conducted by Ganga House to observe the World Population Day and commemorate the National Day of France. Children spoke on the storming of the Bastille on 14th July, a turning point of the French Revolution and the unity of the French people. A beautiful French song was also presented by the girls of class VI.
Our students today are well- aware of the problems faced by our country due to the ever increasing population and presented a skit showcasing the causes and effects of over population. Children also displayed placards suggesting possible measures to curb population growth and enhance the quality of life of the people.
Inter House Science Quiz
Science week is being celebrated to enthuse students, encourage a scientific perspective and develop the skill of applying theory to practical.
The students participated in an Inter House Science Quiz for classes IX-XII. Each house teams had four participants and their excitement was contagious. The quiz was won by the Satluj House and Yamuna House secured 2nd position.
An Inter class activity 'CALORIE BITE' was organized for class VI as a part of science week to inculcate the habit of eating healthy food among students. The students prepared one nutritious dish or drink and presented the calorie chart for the same. The activity helped developing interpersonal and communication skills among children along with promote a scientific temperament.
Inter House paper Presentation
Science and Technology have always been an integral part of Indian culture. Development of science and technology depends on the analysis and proper understanding of facts. Keeping this in mind, Inter House Paper Presentation was conducted for classes IX- XI on current technological advancements in science.
The students prepared PowerPoint presentations on their research work. In the keenly contested competition Shreyash Dube of Satluj House bagged the first position whereas Mrinal Tiwari of Cauvery House bagged the second position in class IX. In class X, Parth Agarwal of Yamuna House secured the first position and Deepali Midha of Satluj House secured the second position.In Class XI, Kushagra Chaudhary of Cauvery House secured the first position and Nandita Ayyar of Yamuna House secured the second position.
Inter Class Video Presentation
Today's tech-savvy generation prefers using technology for the smallest of tasks especially when it comes to learning and applying concepts. Nothing gives them greater pleasure than using their PCs or laptops to display their creative and technological skills. Keeping this in mind class VII students made and presented videos about various scientific experiments.
The students prepared one-minute videos related to science experiments and activities and also present the scientific principles involved. The students enthusiastically participated in the competition pitting their critical thinking, problem solving skills against one another.
In the Inter House Science Quiz for Class VI-VIII was won by Yamuna House with Satluj House securing the second place.
Inter House Extempore Competition
An Inter House Extempore competition was organized in school to develop public speaking skills among the students. Classes VI-XI participated in the competition which was held in two groups. Students of classes VI-VIII spoke on value based topics like Positive Thinking, Freedom, etc. whereas classes IX-XI students spoke on political and social issues like - The Next Super Power - India or China, Is Democracy the best form of Government, GST, etc.
In the VI-VIII group Vasu Johri of Ganga House stood first and the second spot was tied between Aditri Narula and Lavish Daksh of Cauvery and Yamuna house. In the senior group of IX - XI Shreyash Dube of Satluj House won the first place followed by Devak Singh of Yamuna House at the second position.
Cauvery House Assembly
Yoga is an invaluable gift of India's ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body, thought and action, restraint and fulfillment. The school celebrated Health and Wellness Day on 5th July, 2017. A special assembly was conducted by Cauvery House students where students spoke on the Health related issues and emphasized on the importance of Yoga. A street play was also organized to create awareness against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. It was a presentation to make students aware of the harmful effects of tobacco and drugs. The Principal, Mrs. Anita Sethi also addressed the students and asked them to abstain from such harmful addiction and also not allow their near and dear ones to do the same.
Leadership Camp at Kanhatal
80 Students of classes IX - XII attended a 3 day Leadership camp at Kanhatal, Dhanaulti to train in Teamwork, Goal Setting, and Time and Stress Management. The students also participated in adventure activities like Rappeling, Burma Bridge, Rock Climbing, Nature Walk and Trekking. Special sessions on Time management and leadership helped them identify and sharpen their leadership skills. It was an enriching experience for the students.

HUMAN RIGHTS COUNCIL INTRA MUN 2017-18
A one day Intra MUN was organized in the school on 16th May where students of classes IX - XII participated as representatives of 22 countries and discussed the current Human Rights situation in Syria. They also discussed the importance of a democratic government and its role in protection of human rights across the globe. The conference ended with the drafting of a resolution which was passed unanimously.
Special Assembly by Satluj
A special assembly was conducted by Satluj House on 12th May to celebrate the International Technology Day, Red Cross Day and Birth Anniversary of Rabindra Nath Tagore. The students elaborated on the use of technology along with a quiz to test the knowledge of the students on various events.The students also highlighted the life history of the Noble Laureate Rabindra Nath Tagore and recited his poem. A skit was put up to emphasize the importance of Blood Donation.

On the second day students of Classes VI-VIII enjoyed an Inter House Spell Bee Competition with interesting rounds like Guess the Word, Synonyms and Rapid Fire. Ganga House won the First Place whereas Yamuna House won the Runner Up position. It was followed by a Debate Competition for Classes IX-XII. The enthusiastic participants engaged in a War of Words on the topic 'Should Trade Using Animals as a Capital be Banned?' Aditi Singh of Class XII H won the Best Speaker for the Motion and Ujjwal Goel of Class XII C won the Runner Up position, while Mrinal Tiwari of Class IX won the Best Speaker Against the Motion and Saumya Gaur of Class XII S and Aravya Arya of XII C won the Runner UP. Harsh Khamankar of Class X and Sarthak Upadhyaya of XI C bagged the position of the Best Interjector. The Week culminated with the English quiz organised on 28th April, where the participants from four Houses competed against each other with great precision and acumen. The visual round, buzzer round and rapid fire round zapped the participants as well as the audience. Yamuna House won the first place while Ganga House bagged the First Runner Up position.

Sally ride EARTHCAM
Students of astronomy club attended a workshop "Sally ride EARTHCAM" conducted by ISS EARTHCAM which is an educational program of NASA.
The students got a chance to click pictures of earth from camera mounted at destiny lab of the International Space station and correlate these with weather and climatic predictions.
The students carried their laptops and dongles for the workshop which was held at Mayoor School Noida on 6th April 2017.
The students of class VI-IX went on an adventure trip to 'Camp Kanatal, at Dhanaulti'. During the 3 day the students participated in various Activities like Tarzan crossing, valley crossing, rappelling and other team building games. They also showed their artistic talent at the bonfire where they sang and danced to their heart's content. The activities helped the students relax after their exams and prepared them for the new session.
World Health Day
World Health Day was the ideal day to aware the students about health and hygiene. To promote the habit of healthy eating the school encourages students to have healthy food. The primary wing organized a special assembly where the importance of having balanced diet and doing physical exercises was highlighted. The students also shared food and fruits with each other and vowed to avoid junk food as much as possible.
Class VI - VIII students had the 1st session of their clubs where they were introduced to the objectives of the clubs by the respective teachers. Later they participated in specific club activities like students of Home Science Club made "Shahi Toast", and Science club students made a battery using Potatoes or Lemons. The students of Green Brigade cleaned the school grounds and prepared a patch for planting seeds in the next period. Students of debating club prepared their arguments for and against the given topic while the STEM club the students were explained the making and working of the basic circuits and their use in making robots. Students enjoyed their 1st session immensely and are preparing enthusiastically for the upcoming sessions.
32 students of classes X and XII visited the Parliament House for a first hand experience of the working of the Indian Democracy. They got to see their elected representatives taking active part in Parliamentary debates and policy-making in the Lok Sabha. During their tour of the Parliament they also witnessed the discussions between the Union Minister Mr. Nitin Gadkari (Union Minister of Roads and Transport) and the members of opposition. The students could relate to their textbook learnings as they watched the proceedings.
On 8th March 2017, students of class V Daisy of DPSG International had the opportunity to have a Skype session with Mr. Jamie Buchanan Dunlop from the UK Arctic Research Station in Ny-├àlesund, Svalbard. Students got the opportunity to connect live with an expedition team on Svalbard, as well as with polar researchers and explorers based in the UK to find out what it's like to work in such an extreme environment. What an astonishing experience! Students learnt so many things about life in the Arctic and the dedication of these people to scientific research. Mr. Jamie answered so many queries of our students like the height, food & clothing, adaptations and weather conditions at the Arctic region. All of the students felt truly inspired and were thrilled after the session.
Jigyasa Exploring the World
The DPSG International organized its Annual Exhibition with the Open House for classes Pre. Nur-VIII. The exhibition was a colourful canvas of the students creative expression and an insight into the ongoing development of the various aspects of our country. Each class displayed the progress made by India in the fields of culture, industry, technology, education, architecture,economy, etc. through models, charts, and live demos. The Principal Anita Sethi appreciated the students work, congratulating them on being promoted to the higher class and thanked the parents for their unstinting support.
Francophonie Mela 2017
To celebrate the common bond and the richness and diversity between different cultures and countries, and to explore and learn about the differences and similarities, French Embassy, on the occasion of world Fancophonie Day, organized French singing competition on 18th March 2017 at Alliance Francophonie Delhi. DPSG International students brought laurels to the school by bagging third position in the French Singing Competition. The winners are Nandita Ayyar (class Xth) , Reetika Yadav and Aditi Bindal (Class VIIIth).
A graduation ceremony was organized in the presence of proud parents for students of Pre-Primary and Primary Wing. The event was presided over by the Head of School Ms. Anita Sethi. The programme began with lighting of the lamp followed by a dance performance by the Nursery students. This was followed by a motivational dance and song by class IV students congratulating Class V students on their graduation to the middle wing. The Head of School handed out the graduation certificates to the beaming students of Prep and Class V as proud parents looked on. Speaking on the occasion, the Principal congratulated the students and the parents and motivated them to excel in senior classes also. She also encouraged them to remain committed and responsible in all their endeavours. A short orientation session for Prep and class V parents and students was conducted to give them an insight into the systems of the wing. The vote of thanks was delivered by the junior wing Coordinator Ms. Malavika Yadav.
Fun Night Camp
The DPSG International organized a fun night camp for classes Pre Nur-V in the school. Various adventure and fun activities were conducted for the students in which they participated enthusiastically. The students were also shown a motivational film and a bon-fire was also organized during which musical, dance and theater performances were put up by the participants. The school corridors were ringing with merry laughter of the students as they moved from one activity to the other, calling out jingles and slogans to cheer each other. The Principal Ms. Anita Sethi motivated the participants stressing the importance of such activities in inculcating leadership qualities, team spirit and self-confidence among children.
Toddlers Fun at DPSGI
Tiny Tots of Red Apple, Chiranjeev Vihar along with their mothers were invited to DPSG International on 22nd February. They had great fun with the students of classes Pre Nursery to V. The Principal Ms. Anita Sethi welcomed the kids and the guest parents and said it was a step to develop psychomotor, social and interactive skills at the early stage of their lives. The programme started with Sarvdharma Prarthana followed by aerobics by class V students. Class IV students presented a group song while the Nursery and Prep children mesmerized everyone with a group dance performance. Several games and activities were organized for the mothers, which they enjoyed fully. The programme ended with the vote of thanks by the Primary Wing Co-ordinator Ms. Malavika Yadav.

On 6th of February 2017, the pre-primary celebrated 'Yellow Day'. Students were all dressed up in Yellow dresses that day. The day began with fun filled introduction and activities in connection with the color Yellow. Children spoke about the color and they told the vegetables, fruits and flowers that are in Yellow color. The whole corridor was decorated with yellow colour cutouts made by the students. Students enjoyed story narration of The Lion and the Mouse and Buzzy Bee. Children left for their homes with head gear of yellow bee as a take away. All the little learners enjoyed and learned a lot through this color day.
Show and Tell Competition
On 14th February 2017, 'Show and tell' competition was organized for class 1. Children had to bring any product or picture of what we get from plants and speak on it. Children showed great interest and participated in large number. The objective of this competition was to help the children revise the theme and develop presentation and speaking skills in them.
Mudita Verma bagged the 1st position followed by Manas Arya in 2nd position. The third position was shared by Advika Tayal and Tejas Goel.
Leaf Printing Activity
Class 1 students learnt about leaves in a fun way manner. They made different designs using various types of leaves. They took the leaf and painted it with desired color using a paint brush on the leaves. Then they created their own designs by pressing the colored leaves on the blank paper. The objective of this activity was to make them aware of different types of leaves, to develop fine motor skills in the children and make them creative. The children had a great time while doing so. They thoroughly enjoyed the activity and came to know about different types of leaves.
Guest Lecture by Dr. Amit Bhartiya
As a part of the 'tuning in' for the current unit of inquiry, the grade pyp 4 had a very special guest speaker Dr. Amit Bhartiya, father of Nandini Bhartiya Grade 4 Daisy. He felicitated the students by introducing the different body systems to the enthusiastic learners on 8th February, 2107 during the School hours. Ms.Malavika Yadav IB Co-ordinator, introduced the speaker and the topic of the lecture to the students.Guest was welcomed by students with an eco-friendly bouquet and a painting. Dr. Bhartiya enlightened the students with an informative and interactive session on our body organs and systems. He also introduced the participants to many exclusive facts and functions of body systems and shared his own experiences for the same. Students explored different parts of the human body using the resources (models) and followed up with the observation of different organs and their shapes. Student's prior knowledge of different organs and systems was assessed, consolidated and even extended further with a model making activity with clay.The students got the insight of different body systems and its functions and thoroughly enjoyed themselves with Dr. Amit Bhartiya.
Students of grade 4 aimed to be thinkers,inquirers and reflectors. At the end of the Guest lecturer Dr. Amit Bhartiya was felicitated with an appreciation letter from the Head of the School, Ms. Anita Sethi for his efforts and sparing his valuable time with the children.
Visit to Organic Farm
Students of Class 2 was taken for a visit to THE NATIONAL CENTRE FOR ORGANIC FARMING. The visit was organized to provide the students with practical experience and observation of the various processes involved in organic farming. The trained professionals of THE NATIONAL CENTRE FOR ORGANIC FARMING cooperated and explained the students about production of manure and microbes used in organic farming and showed them how they are made. The students were very excited to relate their classroom knowledge with the practical knowledge and process the new information which was provided to them. The visit ended with a walk around the farm where they saw how different vegetables such as cabbage, brinjal, peas, carrots, radish etc. are grown using organic methods. The students loved their experience and shared their learnings when they returned from the visit.
Students of astronomy club attended a workshop Sally ride EARTHCAM conducted by ISS EARTHCAM which is an educational program of NASA.
The students got a chance to click pictures of earth from camera mounted at destiny lab of the International Space station and correlate these with weather and climatic predictions.
The students carried their laptops and dongles for the workshop which was held at JBM school Noida on 6th February 2017.
Astronomy Day Celebration
Students of Astronomy club of Delhi public school Ghaziabad International celebrated Astronomy day on 7th February, 2017. The event was inaugurated by the principal Ms Anita Sethi .On this day students showcased the various activities conducted all round the session to emphasize learning experience in a fun filled way like Rocket Launching ,Weighing on different planets, Kit Display and Planisphere, Solar System Walk, Craters on Moon surface, Hydro Rocketry & Air Rocketry , Mini Rocket Launch, Safe Solar Observation and Tattoo Making.
Star Gazing at Astroport Sariska
Students of Astronomy club of Delhi public school Ghaziabad international attended the Overnight session at Astroport Sariska (Rajasthan) on 3rd and 4th February 2017.
The facility, has been developed to provide a great sky viewing and research experience to the budding astronomers. The site is well equipped for deep sky observation, study and photography. Students learned to find location of stars ,galaxies and other objects with the help of Planisphere. They understood about stars and their motions in the sky, concept of rotation and revolution ,observed constellations and planets with the help of mounted telescopes with high resolutions the students were escorted by teacher incharge Geeta Goel and Gaurav Rawat.
Mock Trial Court
Mock Trial Court was conducted in school on 31st January 2017, by student of XIth Humanities as a part of learning by doing, it turned out to be a very successful activity. The children organised the activity on the court format based on a civil case.
The activity helped the children to learn the dynamics of functioning of courts especially with regards to the process, terminologies and the importance of justices. They researched and presented a complete civil case. The activity enhanced the confidence of the students on public speaking, presentation skills, critical thinking skills, cooperative learning skills and writing skills. It also broadened their perception towards the working of the courts.
Bal Vigyan Mahotsav
The students of DPSG International participated in Bal Vigyan Mahotsav held at K.D.B Public School from 30th January 2017 to 1st February 2017. There were 40 participating schools and a total of 300 students who were participating in different activities related to science and technology. The theme of the competition was 'Importance of water and measures to conserve water'.Ekansh Agarwal and Ayush Dubey of class X stood first in Exciting experiments in Science. Aditri Narula and Anvesha Sharma of class VI stood second in Scientist Research pictures and Model Presentation. Tanmay Madaan and Aditya Singh of class VII qualified the preliminary round of Science Quiz on water conservation. These young scientists of our school have received appreciation from the eminent judges.
Mathematics Week –
5th – 9th of December, 2016 marked the Mathematics week in the school's Calendar. During this week the children put into practical use of Mathematics in daily life. All through the week through the students were engaged in various inter house and inter class activities. Children from classes VI to XII took up various activities like: Vedic Mathematics Presentation, Formula writing, Sudoku competition, Speed with accuracy test.
It was an informative and educative week which helped the students in their overall development.
On the occasion of National mathematics day that is Dr. Ramanujam's Birthday we celebrated math week in the primary wing , where lots of activities were conducted for different classes.
Class nursery and prep had fun game of snakes and ladder, class 1to 3 had activity of math lab on patterns, fractions and class 4 and 5 had math lab activities on measurement, shapes, symmetry and patterns.
We had various competitions for different classes as well,Class Nursery and prep had competition on shapes (to inculcate awareness on identification of shapes) and their results are as follows: In Nursery, Akaiyshaa won the first prize, Manik won the second prize and Gaurang bagged the third prize. In Prep class, Arnavi won the first prize followed by Ananya who won the second prize and Vaniya and Junairah who won the third prize.
Classes 1to 3 had mental maths competition to inculcate calcutation and reasoning skills and their results are as follows. In class I Kushagra Jain bagged the first prize, Rydhaan Sharma won the second prize and Priyansh Rathi won the third prize. In class 2 Daisy - Swanika bagged the first prize followd by Arnav Nagpal and Harshit who won the second and third prize respectively. In class 2 Lotus Shaurya bagged the first prize followed by Arnav Kansal and Siddhant who won the second and third prize respectively. In class 3 Daisy, Harshit Panwar bagged the first position followed by Anirudh Goyal and Mitanshi Garg who bagged the second and third position respectively. In 3 Lotus, first position was bagged by Kushaan Verma followed by Arpit Gautam and Tanush Kapoor who bagged the second and third position respectively.
Competition on fun with shapes was organized for class 4 and 5 in which students of class 4 made a scene using cutout of 2- D shapes and class 5 made models using 3- D shapes (to enhance creativity and critical thinking skills.) In 4 Daisy, First position was bagged by Riya Saxena, second position by Arnav Upperwal and Nandini Bhartiya, third position by Pradhanya Singh and Yash Tyagi. In 4 Lotus - first position was bagged by Suhani Goel, second position by Aveer Saxena and Shubh Mittal, third position by Jiyana Gupta and Abhay Chaudhary. Class 5 Daisy, first position was bagged by vatsal kansal followed by Anoushka Upperwal and Dhruv Garg securing second and third position respectively. In class 5 lotus- first position was bagged by Siya Gupta followed by Harman sing who won the second position.
Science week Celebration –
The students of DPSG International celebrated science week from 25th july to 29th july 2016.
The aim of the activities was to enthuse students and get them involved in the global scientific perspective as well as to stimulate their understanding of how science impacts their future and daily lives.
The celebrations were the culmination of week-long activities in which the students participated eagerly. The event commenced with the,various activities like the Inter house Science quiz for classes IX and X, Inter House Science Role play for classes VI- VIII and Inter Class Science in daily life Competition for classes VI- XII. The science quiz was won by Satluj House and the Role Play was won by Yamuna House. In 'Science in Daily Life' one best model from each class was selected and an exhibition was held in the inner well which was judged by parents.

Social Science Week –
8th to 12th of August marked the Social Science week in School's Calendar. During this week the children put into practical use the knowledge, information gleaned from books and class room lessons in history, geography and political science. All the week through children were engaged various inter house and inter class activities. Children from classes IV to XII took up various activities like: Travel Brochure Making on Seven Wonders of the World, Show and Tell- traditional recipes and its importance on different occasions, Logo designing and creating a Tagline for the school Heritage Club and beautifully presented it. There was an Inter House Quiz on India's Freedom Movement and an Inter house debate on Should Article 370 be abolished?
English Week - To mark the 400th death anniversary of the Great Bard 'William Shakespeare', the school organized English Week from 22nd April to 28thApril 2016. The school organized a host of events for all classes. The little ones from classes I-III expressed their sentiments for their mother in an Intra Class Poem Recitation Competition. 22nd April being the Earth Day Classes IV and V participated in an Inter Class Poem Recitation Competition on the topic 'Save Earth', while the students of classes VI-VIII had an Elocution on the same topic. On 26th April students of classes IX-XII had a war of words- Inter House Debate Competition on the topic Raising Anti-national Slogans is a Shortcut to Success. On 27th April students expressed their views on different topics through Essay Writing Competition and the Week culminated with Inter House One Act Play Competition where all Houses kept the audience spellbound with their performance on the masterpieces of the greatest playwright. MUN – SELA QUI: Our students participated in the MUN organized at the Sela Qui School Dehradun. During the 2 day event, the students participated in various discussions and debates and discussed world issues. It was a truly enriching experience for the children. DPSG Meerut Road MUN The students of classes IX - XII participated in the MUN held at the DPSG Meerut Road. ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL INTRA SCHOOL MUN 2016-17 A two day Intra MUN was organized at the school where participated as representatives of 19 countries and discussed the current problem of refugees. They also discussed a crisis of the hijack of a civilian ship along with the kidnap of an Afghanistan delegate. The two day conference ended with the drafting of a resolution which was passed unanimously. Hindi Week – The Hindi department of DPSG International celebrated the Hindi Week from 2nd -9th September. Various activities were organized during the celebrations wherein the children put into practical use their knowledge of the language. The students engaged in various Inter-house and Inter-class activities. Students of VI-VIII participated very enthusiastically in the Doha Vacahan activity and 'Socho aur Bolo' activity in which they spoke on various topics given to them on the spot. Students of classes VI - X also wrote articles on various topics. Students of class Nur-Prep participated in Hindi recitation and those of class II-III participated in 'Hasya Kavita Vachan'. Classes IV-V put across their views on topics of 'Necessity of Homework' and 'T.V. - a curse or boon' in the form of a Hindi debate. The Principal Ms. Anita Sethi appreciated the efforts of the students and congratulated the winners. She also highlighted the need to respect and value our national language in a proper manner so as to preserve our culture and heritage.
